We are pleased to announce that the Partridge Restaurant has returned to the family. Angelle Jacobs Thornton, daughter of Partridge founder John E. Jacobs, has taken the helm with the purpose of returning the restaurant to its roots. We are once again a family restaurant. The fourth and fifth generations of the Jacobs family will be working in the restaurant every day. Furthermore, we are returning to the traditional Partridge menu, both food choices and menu style.
Take a step back in history to Rome’s oldest restaurant. Once again you will circle your choices on the menu. Once again you will be treated like we trust you, the honor system of paying will return. Finally, you will be able to eat good, fresh, home cooking—everything is prepared fresh by our experienced staff. We have brought back cooks and staff from the Partridge past to create a great dining experience for you in the Partridge present.
The food is returning to what you remember, what you have been asking us to provide. The interior has been updated, but the experience remains the same. We are excited to continue the legacy of John E. Jacobs, one of Rome’s great business leaders in the 20th Century.
